The motherboard has a second NVMe slot but it does not include the mounting screw so you need to order one. I installed a Gen 4 2Tb NVMe SSD in mine and it works great.

A PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD will work in a PCIe 3.0 M.2 motherboard slot at PCIe 3.0 speeds.
